Travel Information
Getting from the airport to the resort
The resort is located about 40 minutes from the airport. While the travel agency did add an airport transfer fee to your invoice, Trish is happy to coordinate transfers for all of our guests through Amstar in an attempt to make things cheaper for you. Please email us at litrambrogio@gmail.com with your travel information if you would like us to coordinate your transfer with other guests.
Checking In
Checking in at an all inclusive resort is an easy process. A bellboy will take your bags as you depart your taxi or shuttle and direct you to the lobby reception desk. The receptionist will check your reservation with your first and last name. It helps to have extra documents with your reservation/itinerary number just in case. The receptionist will also need to check the passports of all guests checking in. At this time you will get your room cards and be on wedding/ vacay mode!
Check Out
Come down to the reception before your check-out time and before your airport transfer arrives. You want to allow yourself 20-30 minutes time beforehand to sign the required documents with the receptionist.
Booking your flights
You will be flying in to Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). Google Flights allows you to track flights which means they will update you via email when prices change for your searched dates. We strongly suggest using this feature! How to track flights with Google Flights. We've been seeing flights from major cities at around $500-$600 round trip.
Communication
Don’t forget to check your cell phone carrier for international options. The resort will have free wifi throughout but we don’t want you to be stuck with a big, unexpected bill.
Getting into the country
You will need a passport book to enter the country (not just the card). You can learn more about acquiring a passport here. Your passport cannot expire within 6 months of travel so renew if you need to!
Smoking
There is no smoking in Mexico. As of February 2024, it is illegal to bring e-cigarettes or vapes of any kind into Mexico, either in a carry-on bag or in checked luggage. All attendees traveling to Mexico are advised to adhere to Mexican law – please do not bring these items with you into Mexico.
Electronics
Effective immediately, please be aware of the following guidelines concerning the import of electronic devices by travelers into Mexico. Exceeding these limits may result in customs duties starting at 19% of the item's estimated value, with some cases reporting fees as high as 200%.
